Le Bouclier d’Athéna Services familiaux est un organisme communautaire sans but lucratif dont le but est de venir en aide aux victimes de violence conjugale et familiale, particulièrement les femmes et les enfants provenant des communautés ethnoculturelles et les anglophones.

Nos bureaux sont situés à Laval et à Montréal. Nos services multilingues se divisent en trois volets et  sont culturellement et linguistiquement adaptés aux besoins des communautés.

  • Services d’intervention spécialisés multilingues offerts à nos bureaux;
  • Service d’hébergement multilingues (La Maison d’Athéna) lequel procure un environnement sécuritaire et réhabilitant aux femmes et enfants victimes de violence familiale;
  • Programme de sensibilisation communautaire multilingue informant les communautés en langue maternelle sur les problématiques de la violence familiale.

The Shield of Athena Family Services needs your help so that we can help women and children who are victims of domestic violence. For 16 years, the Shield of Athena has helped thousands of women and children victims of family violence rebuild their lives. Our annual membership drive aims at raising awareness and raising money to help these women and children live a life without violence. Your tax-deductible contributions will help another woman and her children replenish their strength and develop a strategy for survival for themselves and their children.

Five ways to support the Shield of Athena

1. Planned giving
Pledge a gift today through your will, insurance policy, annuity or real estate. Your donation will help women and children for years to come.

2. Personal giving
Make a personal donation today by phone or fax. Your gift will go a long way to helping those in need.

3. Memorial giving
Honour someone one who has passed away by making a donation in his or her name. An acknowledgement card will be sent to the family on your behalf.

4. Tribute gifts
Celebrate a joyous event by making a donation to the shelter in the name of someone special. Tribute gifts are a perfect gift for birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, holidays and retirements. An acknowledgement card will be sent to the honouree.

5. Special events

Christmas & Easter Activities

  • Hold a non-perishable food drive or toy drive in your place of business

  • Purchase food vouchers for the shelter to use

  • Purchase and assemble toiletry bags for women & children who come to the shelter.

  • Buy a gift for the shelter, our wish list of items has a variety of things that are needed.
